Among The Flowers.

Dresses are starting to take over my closet, and I am totally okay with that. Although I probably don't need another new dress, I could not say no to this colorful maxi from Flourish Boutique. The colors are so vibrant and I love the mixture of patterns going on all over this dress. Usually I shy away from super busy prints and I go for softer florals, but this one was just too fun to pass up.

This weekend I went with my parents to pick out some flowers to plant around our house. I decided to pair my jean jacket over my new dress for a comfy, casual look that is perfect for picking out flowers. What I love most about this dress is that it looks lovely paired with a jean jacket and panama hat, but it would also look amazing all by itself. I think it would be perfect to bring on vacay with me this summer to Florida.

Spring Shoot.

There is just something so fun about wearing a tulle skirt. Some might say that they are totally ridiculous and impractical, but I on the other hand have worn my tulle skirt many times and have found ways to make it work for all occasions. With spring and warmer weather on my mind, I wanted to style my skirt in a fresh new way, so I wore it over a floral mini dress and of course my jean jacket and sun hat(I told you you will be seeing these pieces a lot!)By wearing a skirt over a dress it creates so many different outfit possibilities. I love pairing really feminine pieces such as a tulle skirt with a more rugged or boho piece such as a jean jacket to create an interesting contrast- it also allows you to wear the dressier piece in a more casual setting.

I had the opportunity to shoot with Savi from SaviYou photography and I am in awe at how lovely the photos came out. Savi was so fun and energetic to shoot with- he has so many exciting ideas to try out (kind of like me) so I think we will make a great team together in the future. It was so hard choosing pictures for this post because I wanted to use them all! I did a few more outfits with Savi so stay tuned for those posts and make sure to check out his website below.

Sweet Pea.

In honor of National Fragrance Day on Saturday, March 21st, I'm partnering with Bath and Body Works to celebrate one of my "signature" scents, Sweet Pea. This sweet, feminine scent holds a special place in my heart because it is one of the very first fragrances my mother introduced me to from Bath and Body Works many years ago, and ever since then I have found ways to incorporate this fresh scent into my everyday beauty routine.

Sweet Pea is an award-winning mix of juicy raspberries and pear kissed by soft pink petals, so this scent is perfect for springtime (or any time of the year!) With fresh florals and luscious fruits in mind, I came up with a sweet outfit that I think represents Sweet Pea perfectly. Because this fragrance is light and delicate, I picked out a pretty little chiffon dress with stunning floral appliqué details. I wanted to incorporate lots of flowers into my look because when I think of Sweet Pea I imagine a field full of blush pink wild flowers and butterflies in the air, so I added this beautiful handmade flower crown to my outfit. All that was left to complete this look was a spritz (or two) of the Sweet Pea Eau de Toilette.

Share your Bath & Body Works scent on social media using the hashtag #CelebrateYourFragrance.

Pattern Play.

I love to have fun with colors and prints. A little while back I talked about pattern mixing and how it is a simple way to add a little excitement to your everyday style. I took more of a pattern play risk for this outfit I wore yesterday I and mixed floral and polka dots together (which happen to be my two favorite prints.)

This top from Shabby Apple is easily one of my new favorites in my closet- it has such vibrant colors and its silky material is light and airy so it is perfect for the upcoming spring weather. I love how this top looks when paired with a tulle skirt with a subtle polka dot print, it creates such a pretty and lady-like ensemble. This outfit would be perfect to wear to a tea party with my girlfriends, don't you think?

The thing I love most about this top is all of the styling possibilities- it would look darling with jeans, pixie pants or even layered over a fun dress. This top is a must have for spring.

Spotted.

Unlike people who feel most comfortable in sweat pants and a tee shirt, I feel the best in dresses. Dresses are so easy to slip on and they take little to no effort to create an entire outfit. With spring just around the corner, stores are starting to bring out all their dresses and I can't seem to say no to buying them. I have purchased more dresses than any other piece of clothing in the last two months. Somebody stop me before they take over my closet!

I pulled out this spotted beauty from J Crew Factory that I purchased last spring and I still love it just as much as I did when I first bought it. I am such a sucker for black and white and a fun print so this dress had my name written all over it. I paired it with some colorful accessories to brighten up the look.

J Crew Factory brought back this same pattern but in shorts. I am loving them! The link to them is down below. Happy shopping!

Spring Colours.

You know it has been a long winter when the weather reaches 50 degrees and you think it is warm outside. I was unsure of how long this would last so I dug out some of my spring clothes yesterday and took full advantage of the sunny temps. To celebrate this glorious almost spring day, my sister and I headed to downtown Lancaster to do a little shopping and strolling around. We stopped at one of our favorite coffee shops, the Prince Street Cafe, and sipped on caramel lattes and indulged in strawberry and lime macarons.

I feel like spring is such a happy time of the year so your outfits should reflect that: think fun colors and prints. For my outfit yesterday I paired my floral coat which I scored on clearance last spring from Lands End, with a pink and white striped shirt for a hint of pattern mixing. I then swapped out jeans for white pants because they are so much lighter and fun, and then I added some pink accessories to complete the look.

If this outfit doesn't say spring, then I don't know what does. I am praying this weather stays because I have so many lovely dresses just dying to make an appearance. Fingers crossed.
